  1. I reckon it's a GW product; Gregory is addicted to Badab Black, drinks a pot every morning. ;-)

Gregory, why is it you don't you glue the spears first? Is it quicker to paint without them? I usually do it first, for LI, because it makes a better bond, metal to metal.

Perhaps it might help with these if I glue the spears on in the UK (they won't break in transit)?

  2. @John : I believe there's a hint on the picture (on the top left). ;)

  4. Gregory, your ability to paint as fast as you do yet maintain such excellent quality both amazes me and horrifies me. If it weren't for the video you posted of you working on your models, I'd think you had 4 arms or something ;P Again, fantastic work, as usual. And, BTW, your comments on my own models have really helped me incorporate new techniques into my repertoire.

  5. @BRB : about the spears : it depend. I did it the other way for the thurephoroi (phori ? phorii ? what s the plurial ?). I often "scratch" the paint to bond metal to metal even if the mini have been painted. Same with shields : no rules. For my spartans I ve not put the weapons on as I'm "making" the units after the minies have been painted. For Zama, it seems it's just "random".

  6. @Paul : the video is not showing what is happening under the table at the same time ;-)

  7. Hi Greg, I suppose I do that too; with the Aventines I put the weapons on last, "scratching" as you describe.

    Thureophoroi is the plural.

You really rate those washes; I must get a pot and try them.
